How to get Certified:
The first step is to download the application packet
on what level you are interested in, and send a check or money
order applied to the purchase of application packet to:

1 - If you have trouble downloading the application packet contact NMBCBBHP to purchase an application
packet. Specify the level of certification you are interested in and
the appropriate application packet will be sent to you once you send your check or money order for $20.00.
When you receive or download application packet, read it carefully to determine if you meet all the requirements.
If you do, begin putting the application together and arranging for the support letters required.
Be sure to copy every thing you send in for your own records. If you do not meet the requirements and/or need more time,
use packet as a guide. When you have completed your appliacation, send it to the Board along with a $30.00 application review fee.
2 - Once your application has been reviewed you will be notified within thirty days as to whether or not the application has been approved.
If the application is approved, you will be notified of the written examination date.
3 - CPI and Sr. CPS do not require an exam
ALL LEVELS EXCEPT COUNCELOR INTERN ARE RENEWABLE EVERY TWO YEARS WITH 20 HOURS PER YEAR (40 per 2 year) OF CONTINUING EDUCATION. CPI - INTERNS MUST UP-GRADE
TO CPS AFTER THE INITIAL TWO YEAR PERIOD.
