The New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals (NMCBBHP) is a member of the International Certification
and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (IC&RC/AODA) for the purpose of credentialing qualified alcohol and drug
counselors, criminal justice professionals, and prevention specialists.
The IC&RC standards for certification are commonly recognized by 73 agencies representing more than 40,000 certified professionals internationally,
including Indian Health Services, U.S. Military, and U.S. Federal Court Administrators.
IC&RC and NMCBBHP are committed to public protection through the establishment of quality, competency-based certification programs for professionals
engaged in the prevention and treatment of addictions and related problems.
The New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals (NMCBBHP offers the IC&RC International Written Professional
Examination four (4) times per year. This Exam is required for CADAC, CCS, CPS and CCJP Certification.
* The CPI is an entry-level certification for Prevention and does NOT require testing and is NOT recognized by IC&RC.
The easy to download application packets contains all the information you need to assist you in completing the application,

We ask that you return the application (original application forms) with all the information requested on the exact date of the deadline to avoid delays in getting your packet reviewed.
